Dr. Balachandra is a Consultant Pathologist at Bangalore Baptist Hospital. Before joining Baptist Hospital, Dr. Balachandra worked at renowned laboratories including Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and Doctors Diagnostic Research Centre SRL (DDRC SRL), Trivandrum. He was an Assistant Professor at PES Institute of Medical Sciences, Andhra Pradesh.

Dr. Balachandra has written a dissertation on the role of FNAC in children with special reference to paediatric tumours.
