Dr Anita completed her MBBS in 1986 and MS (ENT) from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda in 1990. She initially worked as a visiting consultant at different hospitals in Bangalore. In 1992 she joined Manipal Hospital, Airport Road, Bangalore as a Senior Registrar and worked there for 2 years.
In 1995 she joined Bangalore Baptist Hospital as an ENT Consultant and HoD, and was instrumental in developing the department from a single consultant unit to a State of the Art, full fledged department with an advanced Audiology and speech therapy unit. She initiated the DNB Post Graduate teaching program in Otolaryngology at Baptist Hospital in 2010.
She took Sabbatical leave for a period of 3 years (2013 to 2016) and went abroad to UAE, where she worked as a ENT Specialist at LLH Hospital, Abu Dhabi (VPS group). She joined back Baptist hospital and again took over the reins as HoD.

Dr Anita has carved a name for herself, especially in the field of Otology and her intricate ear surgeries are an artistic skill to behold. She is known to be a patient, compassionate and ethical doctor with excellent bedside manners. She is also a proficient and motivating teacher and has gained the love and respect of her peers and residents who have trained under her over the years.
She had held many administrative responsibilities at Baptist Hospital as Assistant Chief of medical staff, Head Allied health services, Chairperson of various committees like Infection control, Morbidity and Mortality, Pharmacy and Therapeutic etc. She retired from Bangalore Baptist hospital in February 2024 after 29 years (including 3 years sabbatical) of fruitful service. After Retirement she worked at Sparsh Hospital, Yelahanka for 1 year as a part time Senior ENT consultant and rejoined Baptist Hospital from 1st April 2025.

Dr Anita has attended innumerable ENT conferences and workshops through out the years, both national and International. She has been guest speaker on many occasions and has presented presented papers, videos and posters. She has also convened CME programs at Baptist Hospital.
She has to her credit papers published in International and National Journals.
She is a life member of various Professional Organizations like Association of Otolaryngogists of India, Indian Society  Otology, Indian Voice Association etc.

Dr Anita is also a professional artist and has conducted many solo and group exhibitions of her oil and glass paintings both nationally and internationally.
