Basic B.Sc Nursing:                                                             
The candidates applying for B.Sc Nursing Should report to the Nursing Institute, Bangalore Baptist Hospital on Monday 19th August 2014 at 8.00am. Written entrance examination will be held at 9.00am to 11.00am. Short listed candidates will attend the Interview on 20th August 2014.

  DNB Programme  

The National Board of Examinations was established with the prime objective of improving the quality of the Medical Education by elevating the level and establishing standards of post graduate examinations in modern medicine on an all India basis. The Board at present conducts postgraduate and postdoctoral examinations in 54 disciplines approved by the Board for the award of Diplomate of National Board. The Medical Council of India has laid down standards for post graduate examinations conducted by various medical colleges and affiliated to concerned universities and other institutions, yet the levels of proficiency and standards of evaluation vary considerably in these institutions.

1. College of Nursing
The Bachelors in Nursing was started in the year 2011 September with an intake of 40 students. This programme is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and Karnataka Nursing Council. The program commences on July 1st of every academic year.

2. Rebekah Ann Naylor School of Nursing
The Rebekah Ann Naylor School of Nursing was dedicated on 14th June, 1996 to accomplish the training objectives of the hospital and is named after a pioneer missionary. The School of Nursing offers a Diploma programme in General Nursing and Midwifery with an intake of 30 students. This programme is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, the Board of Nursing Education of the Nurses' League, Christian Medical Association of India and Karnataka Nursing Council.

  Allied Health Services  

The Bangalore Baptist Hospital prepares candidates for Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology , X-ray Technology, Medical Records Technology, OT Techology, under the auspices of Karnataka Paramedical Board

The Standard of admission to the course is in accordance with the requirements of Karnataka Paramedical Board.
Admissions of students shall be once in a year.
There are 2 year Diploma Programmes (post PUC) and 3 year Diploma Programmes (post SSLC) available.
The medium of instruction is English.
Examinations shall be conducted by the Karnataka Paramedical Board.

Minimum Qualification for 2 Years Diploma Programmes
Candidates seeking admission must have passed 10 + 2 or its equivalent pre-university/ pre-degree/ intermediate) examination from any recognized Board or University in India, with the following (mandatory) combination of subjects:

    • Ability to read, write and speak English is essential since the medium of instruction is only English.
    • Applicant should be medically fit to undergo the course.

  Clinical Pastoral Education  

BBH offers the following courses under the aegis of Clinical Pastoral Education:

DPHM (Diploma in Healing Ministry), one year programme under Christian Medical Association of India (CMAI)
DCPC (Diploma in Clinical Pastoral Counselling), one year programme under Senate of Serampore
CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education), three months course

For all the above programs, CPE certificates are also awarded by the Indian Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (IACPE).

The course trains health care workers to provide pastoral care to the sick and hurting patients, families and staff who are in crisis.

  Training Program In Dietetics  
  A six-month course is offered for registered dieticians, recognized by the Indian Dietetics Association (IDA). This is conducted in two batches –from January to July and July to January

Eligible candidates should be a life member of IDA. A graduate or post-graduate/diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics.
